wow. This is awsome. How did you do it? I mean... how do the materials like fimo and plush stick together? And how did you do the eye and those diamond shapes that took you so long? I mean... it's truly amazing. Really good. I'm working on a little needle feltet dragon at the moment and I know how hard it is [link] . But yours is just so complex...
Hello and thank you for the fav and comment<3 Sorry for the late reply btw.
He he i used glue to stick them together The eyes are fore teddy bears, and i just jamed them into its head befoure i put it in the oven. They do melt sometimes thou He he. The diamondshaped scales...o dear god. I used my fingers to shape most of them, the smalest ones was to big for my fingers. So i used 2 needles to form them. It was a little hell XD I am working on my 3. dragon now, and i will post it eny day now, its going to be a big difrence from the other 2 [link] But still experementing, so not sure what the best teqnuices are yet XD
I really liked your dragon, it is so cute <3 I always wanted to trye needle felting, but it lookes so complicated XD I would like to se it when it is done
And thank you so much for the kind words, i really apprichiate it
Thanx alot for the long answer and it wasn't late at all
So if I got you right... you did all the Body parts with fimo first and glued them together? Don't they come of again? And than you glue the plush on, too? Sorry for asking so much. It just looks perfect and I'm still having trouble imagining how it is done. I'm honoured that you like my little dragon. Needle felting is actually quiet easy. All you need is wool, a felting needle and a lot of patience. You can do all sorts of shapes and simply felt them together.
I did the fimo parts seperatly, 1 tale peace, 4 feet and the head. Then i glued it to the fabrick. If you look in my gallery under "work in progress" You can see it detailed what i did They havent gotten off yet They are really well stuck to etchoter XD I used really strong glue I sew the plush seperatly befoure i glue it on yes
Are you kidding? That is probably some of the best compliments i can get, so dont be afraid to ask
It was cute Hmm...Still lookes impressive I have seen some really bad once too XD But yours looked really good I also liked that metal baybe that cryes too. How were you able to do that? do you use some spechial kind of machine fore that? (sorry if this is a stupid question XD)
Thanx again for your answer. I'm starting to get a picture of how you do it Thanx for checking out my gallery. The baby was done in bronze. It's not a stupid question at all. I didn't know how to cast bronze either before a course was offered at my university. You first have to do a model in wax. Than you make a plaster mold around the wax. You need a big boiling tub to boil the wax out, the rest is burned out in an oven. Than you need to heat up the metal until it is fluid and pour it into the mold. It's quiet a tricky technique... you need air channels and stuff so that the metal reaches the lower parts of your mold without hardening. Than it is thrown into cold water and the mold is taken off with a hammer. In the end it is cleaned and you can put some patina on, if you want. The process took me almost two years, The baby weighs around 25kg.
You are welcome I like that you trye more than one thing, andy you are really good at the other things too I think i can relate XD It is so much fun to trye, cant just stick to just drawing, ore clay and such XD he he. My life isent long enoughf to trye everything XD...
Wow O_o So not something you vipp up at home then XD That is amazing You are lucky who have been able to trye it I have always vanted to trye to make something like that Still sounds like it is hard to make, the resolt of the baybe is really impressive! And 25kg!? Thats alot!
